Welcome! I'm in the economics PhD program here at Berkeley, my undergraduate alma mater. Go Bears! 

  I research macroeconomics, development, and demography, and am interested in mathematical economics, political economy and economic theory. Specifically, I spend my time thinking about models of ideas and innovation, the economics of HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, and models of fertility decline and demographic transition.

  Follow my link below for information on the disputed Kenyan presidential election election of 2007, and the ongoing humanitarian crisis. I haven't been able to update very often since returning from Kenya, but I don't have much to offer that isn't on BBCAfrica, the East African Standard, or The Daily Nation, these days anyway.
